He is also a contract attorney for the Texas Municipal Police Association and for the Fraternal Order of Police. Angel Mata is a full-time private practitioner who specializes in Criminal Law and Family Law in Dallas and surrounding counties. Angel began her career in Dallas County as a prosecutor known for her extensive knowledge of the law and a strong sense of right and wrong. She prosecuted hundreds of cases and was exceptional in trial. After leaving the DA’s office, she opened her own practice and has been extremely successful representing those accused of crimes in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. She is also a strong believer in the Second Amendment and teaches Legal Classes for those who own firearms.

Kim Keheley Frye is a proud Georgia native, specializing in criminal law. She received her degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Georgia, and her law degree at Georgia State University School of Law. While in law school, she was a state finalist in the trial and member of the Honor Court. Kim completed an internship with both the Fulton County Solicitor’s Office as well as the Southern Center for Human Rights. Kim has been an assistant district attorney in Cherokee and Forsyth counties prosecuting felony cases in juvenile and superior court. Her experience as an assistant solicitor general in Cobb County included misdemeanor prosecutions of DUI, VGCSA, shoplifting, domestic violence, and traffic offenses as the lead attorney. Kim has extensive jury trial experience as both a prosecutor and a defense attorney and zealously fights for her clients.

Lars Bergstrom went to school at Georgetown University, and studied law at Tulane Law School. He is a dedicated attorney with an extensive civil and criminal background developed over many years of practice. Mr. Bergstrom has been an Army JAG attorney since 1999, first as an active duty officer and now as a reservist, and is one of the Army’s top criminal defense litigators. He has spent most of his military career with the Army’s Trial Defense Service, focusing on representing soldiers accused of crimes. He has also been in private practice in both Nebraska and Colorado. Currently he is at Dewhirst & Dolven, in Denver, where he has been fighting for client’s rights since 2007, and enjoys a reputation for excellent results while carving out a niche in representing defendants in use of force cases involving security professionals. His dedication to the law and his clients has garnered great results for those he has represented and we are glad to welcome him to the FLP legal network.
